ZIMBABWE

THERE ARE 85 CHILDREN IN ZIMBABWE HOPING FOR A SPONSOR LIKE YOU.

Zimbabwe was once one of southern Africa’s strongest and thriving countries. However, in recent decades, multiple political and economic challenges have lowered the standard of living and have weakened the public health, education, and infrastructure systems. According to USAID, 63% of all households live in poverty, and 16% live in extreme poverty.

VisionTrust started serving children in Zimbabwe in 2010, and our Learning Center programs provide healthcare, education, and spiritual development to children living in rural communities. In addition to receiving the mentorship and guidance of local Christian leaders, the children and youth we serve benefit from access to nutritious meals, clean water, and spiritual development. Our ministry has impacted many children, caregivers, and their communities — they are truly seeing that they are worth more.

*We feature a small number of children available for sponsorship on our website. For more options, please email pcteam@visiontrust.org

Our Local Leader

Davison Zhou  is one of 13 siblings. As a teenager, he worked at a factory while attending evening classes to earn his high school diploma. In 1998, Davison moved to the United States to attend seminary and pursue a master’s degree. After graduation, Davison returned to Zimbabwe with a heart for helping children in need in his homeland. He serves alongside his wife Yana and their two daughters, Eday and Esther.
