SOUTH ASIA*

THERE ARE 84 CHILDREN IN SOUTH ASIA HOPING FOR A SPONSOR LIKE YOU.

We serve in an area with a rich diversity of languages and cultures. However, deep-rooted cultural barriers and religious persecution result in harsh discrimination and limited opportunities for the children and families we serve.

*The name of the specific country where we serve is not disclosed for the protection of our staff and children.

VisionTrust has been serving children in South Asia since 2004. Through our VisionTrust learning center programs, children from under-resourced communities receive educational support such as tutoring, tuition assistance, and uniforms. They also have access to nutritious meals, clean water, hygiene education, and basic healthcare. Our adolescents enjoy a safe space where trusted adults provide mentorship and support. In recent years, persecution of Christians has escalated, leading to endangerment, violence, and ostracization. Despite these challenges, our local leaders instill faith and kindness in our children and youth, encouraging them to internalize that they are worth more than the challenging circumstances that surround them.

*We feature a small number of children available for sponsorship on our website. For more options, please email pcteam@visiontrust.org

Our Local Leader

As a child, J. Abraham* was raised in a Christian family of strong faith, but as time passed, he started to abandon his beliefs and lose his way. In 2003, J. Abraham had an experience that changed the trajectory of his life. As he describes it, “The Lord loved me so much, He intervened in my life at just the right time, even without my invitation.” A year later, J. Abraham joined the work of a local denomination focused on relief and development. Soon afterwards, he became the VisionTrust South Asia Country Director and has faithfully served in that role for over 15 years.
